Top Ten Tuesday- The Last Ten Books I DNFd
Oh, come on. You had to know I would be a part of this week’s Top Ten Tuesday. It is right up my alley 🤣. And, of course, I have a twist on it. I’m doing the last ten books I DNFd or books I read and wrote salty reviews. I thought it would be more fun this way. Top Ten Tuesday used to be a weekly post hosted by The Broke and the Bookish but was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl. “It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.”
1) Death In Fine Condition By Andrew Cartmel- DNFd
What can I say here? I don’t remember a whole lot. But then again, I don’t remember much from books I love. So, there’s that. I do remember the plot dragging and the characters being flat.
2) How Can I Help You By Laura Sims- DNFd
This is one of a few Can’t Wait Wednesdays that utterly flopped on me.
3) A Likeable Woman By May Cobb- Salty – Salty Review
Another Can’t-Wait Wednesday blew up on me. Plus, I really love May Cobb. Insult to injury. Review linked above.
4) Speak of the Devil by Rose Wilding-DNFd
I don’t even think I made it through 10% of this book. The characters were just awful, and it was hard to follow.
5) Killingly by Katherine Beutner- DNFd
If Killingly were any slower, it would have been a slug.
6/7) The Quiet Tenant by Clemence Michallonand and Cutting Teeth by Chandler Baker- Salty Review
Two for the price of one. Mini-Reviews linked above.
8) The Good Family By Matt Goldman- A Review
In which case, a book is so bland I couldn’t even be salty. That would give it flavor, and there was no flavor or salt on the table.
9) With My Little Eye by Joshilyn Jackson- A Salty Review
Review linked above. I love Joshilyn Jackson but this book? Lord, give me strength.
10) Drowning By T.J. Newman- Salty Review
Last and certainly least… Drowning By TJ Newman
This is a great list, and you know there’s nothing I love more than a good, salty review from you. I had The Quiet Tenant on my TBR, but I guess I’ll take it off since I trust you. And I have to agree with you on Killingly – it felt like I was listening for so long and nothing was happening at all.
