Goodreads Monday: Saint Death’s Daughter by C.S.E. Cooney

Saint Death's Daughter

Happy Monday!

Goodreads Monday is a weekly meme where you choose a random book from your Goodreads TBR and show it off. This meme is hosted by Budget Tales Book Blog. I found this (and stole it 😉) from  Yolanda’s Past Midnight. Go check her out and give her a follow!

I have no idea why I haven’t read Saint Death’s Daughter by C.S.E Cooney (interview linked), yet I haven’t. I had the chance to interview a few years ago when I fell in love with her novella, Desdemona and the Deep (review linked). Saint Death’s Daughter is going straight to the top of my list.

Title: Saint Death’s Daughter

Author: C.S.E Cooney

Pages: 692

Publication Date: 4/12/2022

Goodreads summary of Saint Death’s Daughter by C.S.E. Cooney

To be born into a family of royal assassins pretty much guarantees that your life is going to be… rather unusual. Especially if, like Miscellaneous “Lanie” Stones, you also have a vicious allergy to all forms of violence and bloodshed and an uncanny affinity for bringing the dead back to life.

To make matters worse, family debt looms – a debt that will have to be paid sooner rather than later if Lanie and her sister are to retain ownership of the ancestral seat, Stones Manor. Lanie finds herself courted and threatened by powerful parties who would love to use her worryingly intimate relationship with the goddess of death for their own nefarious ends. But the goddess has other plans…
