First Line Friday
First Lines Fridays is a weekly feature for readers hosted by Wandering Words. What if instead of judging a book by its cover, author, or prestige. We try to hook Readers with the first line, instead.
Psst, I found this in Becky’s Book Blog. Please go check her out!
Rules:
- Pick a book off your shelf (it could be a current read, ARC, TBR, or favorite read (Hello, close your eyes and pick a book) and open to the first page.
- Copy the first few lines, but don’t give anything else about the book away just yet – you need to hook the reader first.
Party! Party! Too Much Party!
Do you know how children get overtired at parties? Well, adults can get… super wasted, super stupid, and, apparently, stupid dead. You walk in swaggering and thinking…
But you end up…
Yeah. Well. This train is on fire and it hasn’t even gotten to the dumpster yet.
First Line(s) Friday
Alexandra Fox meant to have only a couple of drinks at the block Party. Three, tops.
Oh well. Woman plans, God laughs.
First Line(S) Friday Reveal
And that’s a problem for a whole lot of party-going adults.

The Block Party By Jamie Day
Sure, you might die if you miss it but I wouldn’t bet your life on surviving attendance, either.
