This meme is hosted at Wishful Endings, to spotlight and discuss the books we’re excited about that we have yet to read. Generally they’re books that have yet to be released. It’s based on Waiting on Wednesday, hosted by the fabulous Jill at Breaking the Spine. If you’re continuing with WOW, feel free to link those up as well! Find out more here. This week I bring you The Kingdom of Liars by Nick Martell.
Grown By Tiffany Jackson
Release Date: September 15, 2020
Publisher:Katherine Tegen Books
If there are two things people should get used to hearing me scream about between now and the fall? It is Tiffany Jackson’s new book, Grown, and My Chemical Romance. Truthfully, I’m not promising it will end there. I’m sure both the book and the concert will long leave their marks.
Anyone who didn’t see this CWW coming is most definitely NOT paying attention.
When Enchanted Jones wakes with blood on her hands and zero memory of the previous night, no one—the police and Korey’s fans included—has more questions than she does. All she really knows is that this isn’t how things are supposed to be. Korey was Enchanted’s ticket to stardom.
Before there was a dead body, Enchanted was an aspiring singer, struggling with her tight knit family’s recent move to the suburbs while trying to find her place as the lone Black girl in high school. But then legendary R&B artist Korey Fields spots her at an audition. And suddenly her dream of being a professional singer takes flight.
Enchanted is dazzled by Korey’s luxurious life but soon her dream turns into a nightmare. Behind Korey’s charm and star power hides a dark side, one that wants to control her every move, with rage and consequences. Except now he’s dead and the police are at the door. Who killed Korey Fields?
All signs point to Enchanted.
Award-winning author Tiffany D. Jackson delivers another riveting, ripped-from-the-headlines mystery that exposes horrific secrets hiding in the limelight and the power of a young woman’s voice

Pssst, you left Burn Our Bodies Down off your scream list. Oh, and Kaz. xD I somehow hadn’t heard of this one, though? Maybe you didn’t scream loud enough. 😉 Looks good!
Here it goes again third time responding…
Did I miss an announcement about a follow up to Crooked kingdom and my aptitude for daily sobbing gets worse?
And while I’m sure I’ll be talking about BOBD forever like Wilder Girls, it comes out in July.
But stay on top of me. You weren’t around for the summer Fling last year. The other post is constantly updated once in full swing and I’ll need all the help I can get.
No Crooked Kingdom follow-up, but the series is still in production, right?! xD I think we all need all the help we can get at this point …
She says shes been taking notes but theres the second King of Scars and Ninth House but then she doesnt want Netflix to jump it either… but that it would be years from now ????
Wait what? What is Kaz doing in the fall? Burn Our Bodies Down comes out in July?
I’m confused… did something change…
Did Bardugo announce a third book
