I promised to behave this week and I am- In a Dark, Dark Wood by Ruth Ware
As Everyone knows, this summer I became a huge fan of Ruth Ware (and happily expanded into the mystery, thriller genre in general) when I read Ruth Ware’s latest book Turn of the Key in five hours flat (review is hyperlinked). I knew I want to read more by Ruth Ware, but I didn’t know where to start.
Usually, I am the one giving all the advice at work, but this is a good chance to turn the tables.
As I talked to long-time Ruth Ware readers and new Ruth Ware readers (like myself), I noticed one commonality. Veterans recommended In a Dark, Dark Wood. Those that had just read Ruth Ware’s latest book Turn of the Key, and didn’t know where to go next? Either friends or research had all directed them to, where? In a Dark, Dark Wood.
Ok Fine. I’m sure being apart of Reese Witherspoon’s Book Club doesn’t hurt. But still. It is a starting point. I needed more and In a Dark, Dark Wood was the undeniable, common denominator among the thriller, suspense genre.
That was the next book readers chose or recommended I choose. And so, this week, my Goodread’s Monday is Ruth Ware’s In a Dark Dark Wood.
Goodreads Monday is hosted by Lauren’s Page Turners. All you have to do is show off a book from your TBR that you’re looking forward to reading.

Sounds intriguing… and also slightly creepy! I might wait to read your review before I pick this one up ????
I’d imagine around the same lines of Turn of the Key! I will be disappointed if it isn’t!
This book will be my first foray into Ware’s work and I don’t know why I haven’t picked it up yet. Its been sitting on my bedside table for months now ???? I’ve heard pretty awesome things about it so hope to enjoy it!
Turn of the Key was my first. I hadn’t even heard of her, so don’t feel bad. Atessf you know she is lol!!
