The lovely Literary Leisha tagged me in this fun interview/getting to know you tag and I decided to do a double tag today since I wasn’t participating in the Top Ten Tuesday fun!
Fantasy + Sci-fi and I’ve been bending a bit into the horror/suspense lately

What Was Your First Book of 2019? (Because of my hiatus this is a little tricky so bare with me)
The Past and Other Things that Should Stay Buried By Shaun David Hutchinson – Review

Someone Like Me by M.R. Carey– Review
What Do You Look For In A Book/What Makes It Really Stand Out?
Banter, Magic, Something that really pulls me in. Right now that is probably the most important thing. If it can’t get me drawn in to the point that I forget everything else? Then it isn’t going to work. That is probably why I’ve become such a mood reader the last couple of weeks.
Do You Collect Any Particular Sets/Editions of Books?
Someday, I hope
Do You Prefer Ebooks, Audiobooks, or Physical (Hardback or Paperback?)
When I have a choice, probably hardbacks. Right now, I’ll take whatever I can get.
Do You Keep Books You Didn’t Like or Get Rid Of Them?
I want to be able to keep them and have bookshelves at some point.
What Literary Character Best Defines You/Do You Best Relate To?
I don’t know that there is a character that defines me, per say. That is probably a good thing. Or if there is one, I probably haven’t or have avoided reading about them because it would strike too much of a nerve.
Since I just tagged a bunch in the first tag, I won’t tag anyone in this one but anyone can join in!!!

I agree so much on banter! Banter and immersion, that’s enough for me to love a book haha. 😀 Also agreed on hardcovers they’re just so pretty and finishing a hefty one is satisfying for some reason lol.
Yes! They are beautiful and I guess I’ve missed them having not been able to have them around for so long. Banter is the most fun when done right and the characters have that snappy chemistry lol
Very cool tag! I also love banter and magic.
Thank you! Banter and magic make so much fantasy run better. As long as the author flushes it out for buy-in!
