First Lines Fridays is a weekly feature for book lovers hosted by Wandering Words. What if instead of judging a book by its cover, its author or its prestige, we judged it by its opening lines?
Psst I found this at Becky’s Book Blog. Please go check her out!
- Pick a book off your shelf (it could be a current read, ARC, TBR, favorite read, close your eyes and pick a book) and open to the first page.
- Copy the first few lines, but don’t give anything else about the book away just yet – you need to hook the reader first.
- Finally… reveal the book!
The document you are reading does not — cannot– exist. If you’re reading this, your life is at risk. Or I should say, your life is at even greater risk than it was already.
Ok are you ready ?????????????

What are some of your favorite first lines or the first lines of the closest book to your or your next TBR or ARC?
Thank you for visiting and sharing. You can find me on Twitter @literacybatman.
That first line does sound interesting, but I’m a bit of a wimp so not sure a zombie book is for me ????
I dont blame you. This is all my mother’s fault. God. As many times as I’ve said and/or typed that… it never gets less strange to tell people lol.
