It’s time for some fun with an adventurous bookish tag – This tag was originally created by Umairah @ Sereadipity but Books Untold saw it on Throne of Books. This book tag is all about the wondrous locations we venture into from the books we love so much! She loved it so much that she not only absolutely had to do it, but after deciding to tag me, she had to steal my answer… which of course if anyone is paying attention, would have been Ketterdam.
But who am I to keep a grudge… oh right.. I’m Kaz Brekker’s protege and what does he say about keeping grudges?
“I don’t hold a grudge. I cradle it. I coddle it. I feed it fine cuts of meat and send it to the best schools. I nurture my grudges, Rollins.”
But I’m gonna put this grudge in timeout… for now. Since she was so kind to tag me to begin with and find somewhere else that I would love to go. First, while I calm down from the grudge, here are the rules:
- Imagine that you are an intrepid literary adventurer- braving the harsh bookish wilderness, traversing jungles of pages and slashing through vines of words. Where in the vast world of books would you go?
- Write about one place mentioned in a book you wish you could visit and why.
- List 3-5 things that you would do there.
- Mention which souvenirs, if any, you would bring back with you.
- Then tag some more literary explorers and please link back to the creator(Umairah @ Sereadipity) so I can see all your adventures.
My Dream Destination!
I’ve decided to stay on the planet earth but far into the future…. not an apocalyptic or dystopian future… nope. For once, a utopian future. However, it is a utopian future that begs the question– what would happen if we actually got what we wanted. Truthfully it begs a whole boatload of questions but that is the first of many.
The Book Trailer Gives a Good Job Explaining the Synopsis and Basic Idea of the World
PS I don’t at all agree with ANY of his cons. I also don’t at all agree with his analysis of the characters but maybe because he is only talking about book one. I’ve read the second book Thunderhead and at this point, he hasn’t.
Things I Would Do!
- I would want to meet the Thunderhead
- Become a scythe apprentice
- Experience becoming deadish at least once
- Glean someone at least once
- Meet and tutor under M.S Curie
- Visit “Mid ‘Merica which is definitely St. Louis (the Arch is described- well what is left of it.
Souvenirs I would bring back!
- A piece of the Arch
- A Scythe ring
- One of the “unsavory” cards just because
Honourable Mentions – Other Places I’d Also Like to Visit!
- Ketterdam (I’m not going back to the grudge)
- Faerie (The Cruel Prince/Wicked King)
- The Little and Grand Palace (King of Scars)
- Oasis (Ready Player One)
- Avengers Compound (Pick a Marvel Movie)
- Yes it completely counts. Comics count and it is based on the comics
- Everywhere they film in Game of Thrones as long as nothing bad happens to me.
I’d (Novel Lives) like to tag the following people:
Dany’s Book Blog
A Frolic Through Fiction
Readable Life
Scott King (shhh I snuck an author in here– maybe he will join the fun if he’s not knee deep in editing but we love him either way)
Free Read and Write (Michelle)
And anyone who wants to do this, consider yourself tagged!
MUCH LOVE!
Susan
I would think so to but some are like hell no why would anyone want to meet Kaz and I’m like hell unless you have crossed him, or plan to, why wouldn’t you???
I did.. in the first graph.. wait let me go check

See!!! I did and linked you… unless the link isnt working… I still can’t use the link from wordpress.. it comes up broken.
Oh no not at all because if you were right I would DEFINITELY want to know and fix it ASAP…. not offended in the least. The author of Nation of the beast kindly let me know her trilogy wasnt a trilogy but 4 books (a quadrilogy?) I fixed that shit in a heartbeat. Shes a sweetheart. Even visited my actual blog to like it herself.
Yes I did… I love the Scythe series although I felt like I was kinda cheating staying on earth and all lol
Such a fun tag! I haven’t read Scythe yet but I have them both on my TBR! ????
OMG!!! YOU MUST READ!! The last book in the series comes out in September… and OMG. It is my second favorite behind SOC/Ck … completely different read but completely amazing and the author is a doll to meet.
Oh and your tag is coming. I am so trying to catch up on my arcs still… and I didnt do a weekly review last week. I don’t even know if I will do one tomorrow. With this pouring rain I might end up finishing my current read and posting a review tomorrow.
Haha I’m excited!! Will push Scythe closer to the top of my TBR! ????
And it’s great you’re getting time to read more! I’ll keep a lookout for the tag but no need to rush! ☺️????
I was just commenting to someone else that I need to start actually planning out my blogs more… that is why yours hasn’t happened yet. I’m doing(especially non review blogs) by the seat of my pants and it is going to bite me in the ass. Like I did today’s on my phone knocked up on a plethora of drugs. That should NOT have happened. And with just a little planning it would not have… and it was a good idea that deserved more than it got. I am glad you and Avilinah have helped me push the planning to the forefront of priorities once I am feeling better.
As for Scythe omg ALL the yes. Omg they are like the animaniacs. 3 yr old kids love it but adults watch it and love it on a whole different level. High school kids can get a lot out of the Scythe arc but adults read and are like… hey kid… hold my beer lol
I’m not doing that great planning out my posts either but I’m trying. Sometimes things just come up and I don’t have time to write one up for a particular day so I want to take a few days and draft some in advance but it will take some time. ???? I’ve been hoarding some tags too. ????
I haven’t seen Animaniacs… cartoon? ????
Oh my God YES to the planning and YES to the Animaniacs. You can find some stuff on YouTube and they might be on Netflix now too. Holy crap are they hysterical.
See I didnt post yesterday for two reasons… I was supposed to have To Best the Boys ready but I scrapped my original write up because uh uh it didnt fit AT ALL. I kept trying to shorten and finally said f this.. if it is going to be my longest review to date so fn be it and rewrote it but then it was my first day back after being so sick and it wasn’t getting done in time so yeah. I hear you.
Okay, I’ll check it out..???? oof, hope you’re feeling much better now! I skipped a couple days because I wasn’t feeling too well this week. Supposed to ready a review for tomorrow, hopefully it’ll get done..????
This is such a cute tag! I’d also like to visit everywhere within Game of Thrones (so long as I didn’t end up dead, which I definitely would in that universe)
Now why do you say that???
I’m cackling over here, I was reading your tag and thinking “I’d probably pick the Oasis” (I’ve just finished reading Ready Player One) and then you put it on your Honorable mentions list, niiiiice! (I also just watched about half the movie, totally not impressed except by the last 30 min)
I did love the book. I enjoyed the movie but not nearly as much of the book. But either way who wouldn’t want to visit the oasis and be whoever they want, doing whatever they want with basically whoever they want… just escaping actually realty?
Okay this tag is too much fun! I haven’t read Scythe but I really need to.
You won’t regret it!
Thanks for doing my tag! I loved your answer!
No problem!!! Loved it!!!!
